Highlight all parent directories

SequoiaView for Windows highlights all parent directores when hovering (each parent directory has slightly different color of border).

I find it very useful, because I can instantly see which areas are occupied by large directories and how deeply hidden file is. In DIX I have to traverse tree listview, which isn't that quick.

Yes, that's a good idea.

Meanwhile you may select "Select Parent Folder" (Apple-U) multiple times to go up the ancester chain.
