Although the default sorting of folder/file size in descending order is useful, being able to sort each column (in the main window and well as the drawer) in either ascending or descending order would make your wonderful application even more powerful, by enabling the user not only to find the largest (and smallest) objects, but to more easily find groups of files by kind and by name. Another column or means to group files as to whether they are visible or not would also be very helpful.
Thanks for putting Disk Inventory X out there. Keep up this wonderful work.

Good ideas!
I'm currently implementing a feature which would meet some of your suggestions:
Another drawer at the bottom where the user can show all files of a specific kind. The list has 3 columns: file name, size and path. The file kind would be selected through the file kind statistics drawer (e.g. context menu) or a popup menu above this list.
This "selection list" could be generalized in the future: While the file view's and tree map's structure shows the files system's hierarchy, this new "selection list" would show all files meeting certain criteria (kind, name, size, ...).
