Maybe I'm dreaming but I thought DIX showed the whole of the disc, just ran it and found I couldn't see the usage of other users. Tried "sudo open" to no avail.
Am I dreaming, or has something broken? I'm on 10.4.8 with the latest security update.

Disk Inventory X can't read files and folders for which it hasn't the right do so (e.g. permissions deny to read a directory). It has the same privileges as the user has who launched DIX.
Please try to use Pseudo to run DIX as root. |

What was confusing was that "sudo open Disk..." didn't work. However I now find "sudo /Applications/Disk Inventory X.app/Contents/MacOS/Disk Inventory X" does.
Maybe I was dreaming and always had to sudo if I wanted to see everything, but I never remember having to break open the package.
It would be nice if DIX asked for authentication of course.
Thanks. |
